Keeping the saddle tight is a key compontent to keeping beginner and novice riders comfortable and confident and prevents little ponies from getting sore. When the saddle is too loose, it slides around and makes it difficult for riders to keep their balance. The Performance Pony Company colorful off-billets and latigos with extra holes all the way to the top allow you to cinch up the saddle and keep it in place!
NOTE: Does not replace a smaller cinch for smaller ponies
Matching off-billet available
Colors: Turquoise, Purple, Hot Pink, Lime Green & Black
Black Pony Latigo
- Use a piece of string or twine
- Locate the pony's elbow (point on the back of the leg).
- Measure three inches above the point of the shoulder to the center line and multiple x 2.
- Make sure on mini ponies that your measurement does NOT exceed the widest point of your pony's belly. If it does, go smaller. Anytime your cinch exceeds the widest part of the belly, your saddle will slide regardless of how tight you cinch it.
