Winter Tips: Electrolytes

Winter is here! Keeping our ponies and horses healthy and their bodies functioning correctly during cold weather, electrolytes are critical!

At the Performance Pony Company we believe in free choice salt, specifically loose salt!

FUN FACT: BECAUSE OF THE TEXTURE OF THEIR TONGUE, it takes horses and ponies more licks to get the salt they need off a salt block than a cow. This can cause them to stop licking before they get the amount they need.
